CAMACHO & ASSOCIATES CLIENT ACHIEVES PERFECT C-TPAT SCORE

Customs Brokerage Scores Above 100 on Compliance and Performance Evaluation

Grupo Immobiliario MAYMAR, a private customs brokerage, recently released its Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism evaluation, which revealed high scores across the board.

MAYMAR reached a score of 100 for each compliance and performance rating in every category, including supply chain security risk assessment, procedural security, physical access controls, personal security, security training, threat awareness and information technology. The company also scored a high 103 in the category of physical security.

The company was assisted in the C-TPAT process by Camacho & Associates, which provides guidance through the complex pre-evaluation, certification and re-validation process all C-TPAT participants go through. Camacho & Associates provided training to Grupo Immobiliaro MAYMAR in the areas of  threat analysis, market entry strategy, travel and country assessment, facility audits, security audits, security benchmarking, penetration testing and workplace safety.

“To reach a score of 100 percent is extremely rare and achieving this rating without the help of a seasoned C-TPAT consultant is close to impossible,” said Rudy M. Camacho, CEO of Camacho & Associates and a 34-year veteran of U.S. Customs and Border Protection under the Department of Homeland Security. “This guarantees that the brokerage remains in good standing with Customs and Border Protection and its clients’ cargo is subject to accelerated inspection and processing.”

C-TPAT is a voluntary government/business initiative that builds cooperative relationships to strengthen and improve the international supply chain and U.S. border security. Through this initiative, U.S. Customs and Border Protection is asking businesses to ensure the integrity of their security practices, communicate and verify the security guidelines of their business partners within the supply chain.

Camacho & Associates is the foremost authority on the C-TPAT certification process along the United States and Mexico border. It specializes in providing international customs and border management guidance to public and private companies and government agencies related to a wide array of binational initiatives.
